Chocolate, coffee, tea
Mix a tablespoon of mild detergent and a tablespoon of vinegar in 1/2 litre of lukewarm water (for tea stains you can also add a teaspoon of lemon juice). Drench a cloth in the liquid and dab the stain away.
Egg, milk
Dab for a long time with cold water.
Fruit, lemonade, fruit juice
Dab with warm water for a long time. Alternatively, sprinkle with salt and allow it to work in for some time, then remove it using warm water.
Honey, jam, syrup
Dab away using biological detergent suds.
Ink
Dab the stain away using cotton wool drenched in pure alcohol or methylated spirits.
Red wine
Sprinkle the stain with salt and allow this to work in for some time. Then remove using lukewarm water or mix a tablespoon of mild detergent and a tablespoon of vinegar in 1/2 litre of lukewarm water. Drench a cloth in the liquid and dab the stain away.
Urine, blood, etc.
Dab away as much liquid as possible. Treat the stain with cold water. Then clean it with biological detergent suds.
Liquorice
First carefully scrape the liquorice off the surface. Then dab the remainder away using a cloth drenched in water and ammonia. If still necessary, treat with water and a clean cloth.
