Material and manufacturing errors

If material or manufacturing errors become evident, Auping commits itself to correcting such errors free of charge in accordance with the Auping warranty conditions. If the defect cannot be corrected, Auping will replace the product within the warranty period (at no charge) with the same product; in the circumstance that this is no longer available, an equivalent product will be provided. Only Auping will determine whether the error can be corrected by replacement, repair or reimbursement. Warranty claims for shortcomings or damage due to inappropriate action (for instance overloading), wrong or improper use, or normal wear and tear are excluded. Combination with non-Auping products can, dependent on the nature of the complaint, lead to limitations in the warranty claim.

The Auping brand guarantees years of problem-free operation. Auping uses high-quality and durable materials. Every product is manufactured with the greatest care and is accurately checked before it leaves the factory.

Auping gives a lifelong warranty on all bed bases (understood to mean: mesh bases and steel frames) against material and manufacturing errors, with the exception of motors, gas springs and electronics.

Auping gives a 5-year warranty, based on an annual depreciation of 20% of the purchase value, on material and manufacturing errors of the latter articles and of mattresses and duvets. This means that if material or manufacturing errors become evident in the first year following the invoice date, the full cost of replacement or repair is reimbursed. In the following 4 years this will be 20% less every year.

For pillows and bed linen, the warranty period is 2 years.
Other articles have a 5-year full warranty. The warranty period starts on the date stated on the invoice.

The warranty is under condition of our installation instructions and maintenance advice being correctly adhered to and that the product is subject to normal domestic use.

 

General warranty conditions

A warranty claim must first be acknowledged by Auping to be legitimate.

For legitimate complaints, Auping will replace the defective product or parts without calculating material costs; however, material costs will be calculated at a reduced price in the case of warranties based on depreciation.

The warranty does not automatically cover the reimbursement of the costs of sending defect products to the Auping factory or to the Auping distributor for repair or to allow the complaint to be studied. This is dependant on the country in which the warranty claim is made. The same applies for the costs of sending back replacement products or repaired products. The repair itself is free of charge, within the warranty period. Call-out costs will be invoiced.

A warranty claim can only be made if the original invoice is submitted. The warranty is only valid for the original purchaser. The claim must be made to the Auping dealer where the product was originally purchased, even if you have moved to another country in the mean time. The warranty lapses if the product has been disassembled or assembled at any time by people who are not qualified by Auping to do so; unless the user instructions contain ‘do-it-yourself’ assembly instructions and these have been carefully followed. The Auping warranty applies in all countries where Auping is represented. Auping retains the right to not grant a warranty on Auping products that have been shipped to countries where Auping is not represented.
