Research results in AVS mattress range

A good mattress should ensure that the user can change position without noticing during sleep. We developed the AVS mattresses for this reason.

Active sleep
Our team worked together with scientists to develop the new AVS mattresses. This collaboration allowed us to combine their scientific insight with our experience. Dr. ir. R.H.M. Goossens, an ergonomist from the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, conducted research on the ergonomics of sleep. His most prominent conclusion was that sleep is a much less passive process than we think it is. A sleeping person changes their position on average 35 times in one night. We cannot go without movement, even when asleep.

DPPS®: the secret to a good nights rest
AVS mattresses feature the unique DPPS® (Dynamic Progressive Pocket Spring) springs, developed exclusively by Auping. The DPPS® springs in AVS mattresses ensure that the body receives optimum support in every sleeping position. Turning and repositioning is made easier; the AVS mattress immediately provides optimum comfort and support to the body in the new position.

Unprecedented ventilation
AVS mattresses are constructed in such a way that the top surface absorbs moisture while the underside provides optimal ventilation. The result is a bed that is always dry and fresh. AVS mattresses are available in five versions and provide the greatest benefits when used in combination with an Auping mesh base. The Auping mesh base has the most open structure of all available bed bases.
