Special construction
The AVS mattress stands for Active Ventilation and Support. In the first place the mattress feels wonderfully soft, while the specially developed DPPS® pocket springs mean you can still turn over effortlessly in your sleep. The three-dimensional knitted material featured in the mattress and the ventilated underside of the mattress, coupled with the mesh base, work together to ensure optimum ventilation. The interior of the mattress contains open-structured materials which wick moisture away to the underside of the mattress where it can freely evaporate. The mattress literally breathes along with you and transports moisture naturally through evaporation, ensuring that your bed remains fresh at all times. An added advantage is that your mattress no longer requires turning.

AVS Visco: the ventilating, pressure-reducing mattress
The AVS Visco mattresses are fitted with a comfort layer of visco-elastic foam; a material with optimum pressure-reducing characteristics that give you a floating sensation. By providing this layer with special ventilation channels Auping has succeeded in creating a pressure-reducing mattress with exceptional ventilation

Removable ticking for extra hygiene
Almost all the AVS mattresses have removable ticking. The ticking can be either washed or dry cleaned, ensuring extra freshness and hygiene. All ticking fabrics are guaranteed free of harmful substances and comply with the Oeko-Tex standard, a recognised quality mark for textiles free of materials that can be damaging to health. What is more, the Silverness® fibre used in the ticking of the AVS Vivo, AVS Vivo Visco and the AVS Maestro creates an environment in which bacteria and dust mites cannot survive.
